It takes a village.

You will have one Midwifery Assistant at your birth.  All Assistants are neonatal resuscitation and CPR certified and have gone through a rigorous training process approved by the California Medical Board. Some of them are also Student Midwives. These folks have been carefully selected to be a part of my team because I respect the way they show up in birth for families.  They are all so skilled at protecting the sanctity of family autonomy while also offering physical and emotional support and safety skills, if the need were to arise.

Victoria Livinchuk

Midwife Assistant & Student Midwife

Victoria was always fascinated by pregnancy and birth from a young age. Throughout her highschool and early college years she had a desire and was eager to learn more so she began volunteering on the labor and delivery unit in several different hospitals. She then met and married her college sweetheart and later had three beautiful children together. She graduated from California State University- Sacramento in 2019 with a degree in Health Science.

Victoria is very passionate about all things related to pregnancy, labor, birth and babies. She has been serving families as a doula to help them achieve the best possible experience and birth of their dreams. It wasn’t until her third baby, which she had at home, that fueled her passion and desire for midwifery care even further. She is now serving families as a midwife assistant and is so grateful to be a part of their journeys.

Milan Mihajelvic

Student Midwife

Hi everyone, my name is Milan. I am a student midwife based in Folsom, California. I also work as a Birth Doula for families in the Sacramento area. I felt a natural pull towards midwifery and the birth field since my early teenage years, despite never having attended a birth then. However, I feel listening to your intuition and using it as your guide will never lead you astray, and I’m so glad I listened. I know becoming a midwife isn't just a desire, but a rite of passage. My strong suit is to always move forward despite the challenges, especially in a situation where someone needs support.

I have taken prenatal massage courses during my travels in Bali, Indonesia and have taken continuing education classes at Sierra Childbirth Institute in Sacramento in Breastfeeding Skills and Comfort Measures for Labor. If you trust your intuition and read the energy in a room, you can provide a sacred space for others to birth comfortably and safely. I am grateful to be on this path to becoming a professional midwife and a skilled birthworker. I plan to graduate in 2028 with a Bachelor's in Midwifery from Midwives College of Utah and receive my licensure in California.

Kylee Leavitt

Certified Professional Midwife

Some of my earliest memories are of attending my mother’s prenatal appointments while she was pregnant with my younger siblings. At the birth of my brother I remember asking the midwife “Where’s all the blood and guts?”, and being fascinated when she showed me the placenta. Throughout my life I have felt called to midwifery and God has directed me down this path. Women and families should always have safe options for how they want to bring their babies into the world and feel loved and supported in their desires and choices. I feel blessed and honored to be a part of your story.

I recently graduated from Mercy in Action College of Midwifery with a BS in Midwifery and will soon be licensed as a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM)! I am certified in Neonatal Resuscitation and CPR/BLS. Prior to beginning my journey in midwifery I worked in the financial sector for seven years, and previously helped manage an organic farm in Nevada. I’m a passionate gardener and my husband and I have recently embarked on the life-long dream of starting a small homestead. We live in Lincoln with our sheep, chickens, and donkey - and I have officially become a crazy sheep lady.

Erin Klusky

Midwife Assistant

My Name is Erin, and my interest in birthwork started at the age of 10, when I witnessed the homebirth of my baby brother. My passion only grew when I had the opportunity to volunteer in the OB department of our small community hospital during my senior year of high school. I would volunteer for a whole 12 hour shift and didn't want to leave because I felt so invested in each birth and family. After the arrival of my 3rd baby in 2016, I followed my dream of becoming a birthworker; I obtained my Doula certification, and spent the following 6 years supporting families both in home and hospital settings.

In the months following the birth of my fourth baby (born at the California Birth Center in 2022), I continued my education to become a Midwifery Assistant. I have a love for empowering families and I am honored to be able to serve and support you during your labor, birth and postpartum moments.
