When my husband suggested a home birth for our first daughter, I was intrigued!  We interviewed Midwives and settled on a great team that ultimately helped me have a birth that inspired me deeply. ​ I feel so blessed to have had midwives who allowed me to find myself in birth while also offering their wisdom along the way.

 

Was it the most challenging thing I have ever done?  Sure was but, I have never felt so powerful and capable!  My work in midwifery is all about this! With every interaction I have with a family, my goal is to support them in connecting to their choice with education and transparency in mind.

After my daughter was born (February of 2010), I knew that Midwifery was the path for me! When she was 5 months old, I began attending births as a doula.  I dedicated myself to supporting women in home, birth center, and the hospital and eventually enrolled in school to pursue the path of a Licensed Midwife.​  My training was mostly completed in Mendocino and Humboldt Counties attending births at home in rural and suburban settings, as well as, Bloom Birth Center in Ukiah.  I graduated from the National Midwifery Institute in 2022 and worked at the California Birth Center in Rocklin as a staff Midwife.  In 2024, I decided I wanted to move back into home birth and began my own private practice!

Aside from my path as a Midwife, I love being with my own family, watching my kids grow, and showing up for them in all the ways that I can!  Being a mom is the greatest joy!  I have a lot of fun making herbal remedies for my clients, friends, and family.  We love getting out into nature, working on home projects, and getting on our paddle boards in whatever body of water calls us!  My kids are very involved in the community so sometimes, I feel like a bit of a bus-driver!
