Bio:
The idea of supporting women in birth kept showing up in different ways throughout my life, but my interest took off when my daughter was born in 2010. When she was 5 months old, I began attending births as a doula. Over the years, I dedicated myself to supporting women in home, birth center, and hospital and eventually became a Licensed Midwife.

I was the first in my family to birth my three children out of the hospital- again, it was a calling I couldn't ignore. I had the most heart opening experiences that completely changed my life. I feel so blessed to have had prenatal, birth and postpartum care with patient, trusting, intelligent midwives who allowed me to find myself in birth while also offering their wisdom along the way. Was it the most challenging thing I have ever done? Sure was! But, I have never felt so powerful and capable. My work in midwifery is all about this! With every interaction I have with a family, my goal is to support them in connecting to their choice and power with education and transparency in mind.

Even when births have their unexpected twists and turns, we can find our faith and soak up the blessings- and we don't have to do this alone. I am honored and incredibly grateful to be by my client's side in the beauty of labor, birth and beyond.

Aside from assisting families in the pregnancy and birth, I love spending time on our property in Mendocino or making herbal remedies with the many medicinal herbs that we grow there. I love hanging out with my three kiddos and two bonus-daughters (who are now in their 20's!). We homeschool 2 out of 3 of my children - so getting out into nature, practicing art, and reading together are things we try to do often. My kids are very involved in the community so sometimes, I feel like a bit of a bus-driver! Life is full and we are always learning and growing!
